Totem Tuesday - Lynx Extra!

There were a couple of things I forgot to mention in this video, so I thought I'd pop them here...

Firstly a very important part of Lynx's diet is the Snowshoe Hare. Firstly this shows the stealth of the Lynx that they can actually catch such a speedy camouflaged Hare. Secondly, the Snowshoe Hare have a cycle of 11 years, every 11 years the population declines, then grows again. The Lynx population is directly effected by this.

As 11 is a master number which is about higher inspiration and magic -  so if you are working with a Lynx totem you might want to research the significance of the number 11, and look at any possible 11 year cycles in your life.
Also meditate on the Snowshoe hare, as this predator- prey connection is very linked.

Finally I meant to mention that in Norse myth, the gorgeous Goddess Freyja had a chariot pulled by Lynx, which is pretty epic really. Harnessing this great wild wisdom and higher knowledge to move you through the worlds... something to think about!

  1. I love these added thoughts on the lynx. I have been thinking about your story of the lynx in the animal park. It is very touching and sad. I bet your stopping to connect and spend a little time with her, soothed her and helped her and made a difference in her life. I appreciate people like you so much.
